How to manage your TikTok account with Grok Bot

Connect Grok Bot to ViewPrinter with an API key, connect your TikTok account, and the Bot can post, schedule and read results for it, and for Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook. A Grok Bot cannot sign in the way Claude and ChatGPT do; the prompt below sets up the key instead.

A Grok Bot runs on its own schedule, so the question is less “how do I post” and more “how do I give it the account and the rules”. ViewPrinter is the account half: your TikTok connected, tools that say which of them publish, and results the Bot can read back.

1. Make an API key

A Grok Bot connects with an API key rather than a sign-in. In the ViewPrinter dashboard, open API keys and create one. It is shown once, so copy it straight into the next step.

2. Connect the Bot

Paste this into your Grok Bot’s chat, with your key in place of the placeholder. The Bot installs a small bridge on its own machine, stores the key, and lists your accounts to show it worked.

1. Install mcp-remote once: npm install -g mcp-remote
2. Save this ViewPrinter API key in a file only you can read, and expose it as the environment variable VIEWPRINTER_API_KEY. Do not write it into any config file or repeat it back to me.

3. Add a local (stdio) MCP server named viewprinter that runs:

4. Call accounts_list and tell me which accounts you can see, with their ids.

3. Connect your TikTok account

In the ViewPrinter dashboard, connect TikTok through TikTok’s own sign-in. Add Instagram, YouTube, X or Facebook the same way if the Bot should reach those too.

What to say

  • “Post this video to TikTok tomorrow at 6pm.”
  • “Every weekday at noon, take the newest clip in my Drive and post it to TikTok and Instagram with a caption.”
  • “How did last week’s TikToks do?”
  • “Cancel Thursday’s post.”

What to let it do

  • Read: list accounts, list scheduled posts, read performance. Safe to leave open.
  • Write: upload media, schedule a post, cancel a scheduled post. ViewPrinter marks these, so keep the Bot’s approval on for them, at least until you have read a few of its proposed posts.
