How to post to social media with ChatGPT

How to connect Instagram to ChatGPT

1. Switch your Instagram account to Business or Creator, if it is not already. Instagram only lets apps post to professional accounts.
2. Add the ViewPrinter app in ChatGPT and sign in when it asks.
3. In the ViewPrinter dashboard, connect Instagram through Instagram’s own sign-in. ChatGPT never sees your password.
4. Ask ChatGPT to post, schedule, or tell you how last week’s posts did.

Can ChatGPT post to Instagram?

Not without an app that holds your Instagram account. ChatGPT agent mode can operate a browser on paid plans, but when a site asks for a login it stops and hands the browser to you to sign in.

Instagram only lets apps publish to professional accounts, Business or Creator. A personal account cannot be connected. You switch under Account type and tools in Instagram’s settings, and a private account becomes public when it does. ViewPrinter connects through Instagram’s own sign-in, so the account does not need a Facebook Page.

What ChatGPT can post

• Reels, from one video. A Reel can stay in the Reels tab only, take a custom cover, or go out as a trial reel that non-followers see first.
• Feed photos, and carousels of two to ten images.
• Stories, from one photo or one video.
• Any of these at a set time. The post goes out on schedule whether or not the chat is still open.

What it cannot do yet

Read or answer comments and DMs: those are coming soon for Instagram and Facebook. It also acts on your own connected accounts only. It cannot browse other profiles or your feed.

Can ChatGPT post to TikTok?

Yes. ChatGPT uploads the video or photos and ViewPrinter publishes them through TikTok’s official API, then reads back views and likes.

• Videos up to ten minutes, within your account’s own limit: TikTok gives every creator three minutes and some five or ten.
• Photo posts of up to 35 images.
• Posts for everyone, friends, followers or only you, within what your TikTok account allows.
• Comments, Duets and Stitches switched off for a post.
• The AI-generated label on videos, and the paid-partnership and own-brand disclosures.
• Photo posts sent to your TikTok drafts instead, to finish in the app. Videos are posted directly.
