The best time to post on Facebook
Worth getting roughly right, and not worth agonising over — because on Facebook the timing is rarely what is holding a Page back.

Facebook sits between the two cases we have already looked at. It is a feed, so recency counts in a way it does not on YouTube. But it is a heavily filtered feed, which means the hour is competing with a much larger factor.
The short answer
Post when your own audience is online — Meta hands you the chart:
- Open Meta Business Suite and go to Insights.
- Find the audience section and the when your followers are online breakdown, by day and hour.
- Post at the leading edge of a peak.
If the Page is new and the chart is empty, weekday mid-mornings are a defensible starting guess — but it is a placeholder, not an answer. Replace it with your own data as soon as there is any.
The bigger lever
Organic reach for Facebook Pages has been declining for years. A typical Page reaches a small fraction of the people who follow it, and that fraction is set by how Facebook distributes Page content — not by what time the post went up.
What moves that number is closer to:
- Posts people respond to rather than scroll past. Engagement is the input; reach is downstream of it.
- Native content. Facebook has never been generous to posts whose main purpose is to send people somewhere else.
- Not posting more often. Extra posts split one audience across several pieces, and Facebook is unlikely to show any one follower all of them.
What to actually do
Read the chart, pick a slot, stop. Getting timing roughly right is worth a few minutes; getting it exactly right is worth almost nothing, and the guides that ask you to keep tuning it are selling the tuning.
If the same post is going to more than one platform, the peaks do not line up and neither do the rules — TikTok rewards the first hour far more than Facebook does. That is what ViewPrinter is for: say what to post, where and when, once.
