Can a ChatGPT dot post to social media?
Yes, through a plugin. Connect ViewPrinter in ChatGPT and your dot can draft, schedule and publish to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook, and read back how each post did, asking first if you set it to. It does not answer comments on its own yet.
Can a ChatGPT dot post to social media? Yes, through a plugin. Connect ViewPrinter in ChatGPT and your dot can draft, schedule and publish posts to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook, and read back how each one did. Set it to ask before anything goes out, and it will.
Dots are OpenAI’s always-on agents, launched on 29 September 2026. Each one has its own cloud computer, works toward goals you give it, and uses the same plugins you have connected in ChatGPT. That last part is what makes this short: ViewPrinter is a ChatGPT plugin, so once it is connected, your dot can use it.

Connect your accounts
In the ViewPrinter dashboard, connect TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X or Facebook through each platform’s own sign-in. Your dot gets a token for ViewPrinter’s tools, never a platform password.
Give it a goal, not a task
A dot keeps working between your messages, so it is worth handing it something ongoing:
- “Every weekday, draft a TikTok and an Instagram post from my newest clip, and schedule them for 6pm once I approve.”
- “Keep three posts scheduled on every account. When the queue drops below that, draft more for me to approve.”
- “Each Monday, tell me which of last week’s posts did best, and draft two more like it.”
Set the rules
Dots start with built-in rules for when to act and when to ask. Custom Rules let you require approval for an action, allow it, or block it. ViewPrinter marks which of its tools publish, so a sensible start is approval for those and free rein for reading: listing accounts, checking what is scheduled, reading how posts did. Activity View, in the desktop app, shows what the dot is working on.
What a dot does not do yet
Answer your comments and DMs by itself. A dot’s background checks are read-only and cannot message anyone, messaging people goes through your approval, and ViewPrinter’s comment tools are not in its ChatGPT plugin yet. For replies that run on their own, such as sending the link to everyone who comments “LINK”, use an always-on agent with ViewPrinter’s webhook: the Grok Bot guide or the OpenClaw guide. Which platforms support comments and DMs right now is on the platforms page.
Using ChatGPT itself rather than a dot is covered in how to post to social media with ChatGPT.
