Answer
Best social media scheduler for AI agents (2026)
Best overall: ViewPrinter. It is built for the assistant to be the interface: the MCP server is included in the $19 plan, there is no code, it posts TikTok video and slideshows, and the agent reads results back. Best free option: Buffer, whose free plan includes an MCP server with a 10-posts-per-channel cap. Best self-hosted: Postiz. Post Bridge is a good ten-network dashboard that sells agent access as a $5 add-on.

Every scheduler now says “AI” somewhere, and most mean a button that writes captions. For an agent the test is different: can Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or an agent running on its own connect to it, see your accounts, upload a video, schedule the post and read back the views, without you in the loop? Four schedulers pass that test today. Here is how they rank for it.
| Tool | MCP server | Public API | Platforms | From | Free | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ViewPrinterOur pick | Yes | No | 5: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook | $19/mo | 7-day trial | The assistant is the interface: MCP included, no code, TikTok video and slideshows, results the agent reads back. |
| Post Bridge | Paid add-on | Paid add-on | 10: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Google Business | $34/mo | 7-day trial | Ten networks including LinkedIn and Pinterest in one dashboard; agent access is a $5 add-on. |
| Postiz | Yes | Yes | 30+, including Reddit, Discord, Mastodon and Slack | $29/mo | Open source, self-host free | Teams that want to self-host, or need channels nobody else covers. |
| Buffer | Yes | Yes | 11: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business, Bluesky, Mastodon | $0 | Free plan, 3 channels, 10 posts each | The most mature dashboard, with a free plan that includes its MCP server, capped at 10 posts per channel. |
Checked against each product’s own pricing page on 2026-09-05. Lowest monthly plan that includes agent access, billed monthly.
The verdict
- Best overall: ViewPrinter. The assistant is the interface. There is a dashboard for connecting accounts and checking results, but the posting happens where you already talk to your assistant, and MCP is part of the plan rather than a line item. TikTok video and slideshows, Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook, $19 a month.
- Best free option: Buffer. The most mature dashboard, and its MCP server is on the free plan. The free plan is three channels and ten posts per channel, and the product is built dashboard-first, with the agent on the side.
- Best self-hosted: Postiz. Open source, thirty-plus channels including Reddit, Discord and Mastodon. You run it, or pay $29 a month for the hosted version.
- Best for ten networks: Post Bridge. LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky alongside the big five, at $29 a month. Agent access is a $5 add-on, and the product is a dashboard first.
Why ViewPrinter wins for agents
The others added an MCP server to a dashboard. ViewPrinter started from the other end: what would a scheduler look like if the assistant was the only user? The tools cover everything the agent needs to act on its own: list accounts, upload media, schedule, cancel, read performance. Every tool that publishes is marked, so you can tell your assistant to ask before those and let it run the rest. There is nothing to learn beyond talking to the assistant you already use.
What it does not do, plainly: no LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads or Bluesky, and no free plan, only a 7-day trial. It does not generate images, video or captions; your assistant brings the content, ViewPrinter posts it. If LinkedIn or a free plan is the deciding factor, Post Bridge or Buffer is the right pick, and we would rather say so here than after a trial.
What about the developer APIs?
Ayrshare and PostEverywhere also publish MCP servers, but they are APIs for products that post on behalf of their own users, priced per profile or aimed at people writing code. A different purchase, so they are not in the table.
How to connect one
Three steps for any of the four: add the server address in your assistant, sign in when it asks, and connect the social accounts you want it to post to. The step-by-step for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor and Claude Code is on how to post to social media with an AI agent.
